Prayer of Gratitude

Blog Post #34

Ukrainian folklore characterizes pysanky as a symbolic, talismanic writing that invokes a higher Universal Power for help, while believing with faithful certainty that It will. The contemporary version of this characterization is a paper-and-pen journaling practice that develops a personal relationship with God through writing prayer.

Being the recipient of an unexpected act of kindness inspired me to write this prayer of gratitude for the giver of that kindness — a prayer that’s lovingly extended to all who open their hearts to bestow on others such thoughtfulness. I can say with certainty that a simple act of kindness is a delightful gift to receive.

Thank you for sharing your light and love with such thoughtful kindness.

May God bless you beyond measure with love, peace, happiness and contentment.

You truly are a treasure!

The mauve-colored Rose symbolizes Divine Love. The Soul, symbolized by the color green, is the image and likeness of Divine Love Itself. Golden rays of blessings radiate from the Rose to the giver and touches all in its path with an uplifting positivity.

The four Reindeer, written around the pysanka, symbolize four individual prayers for Divinity to manifest as Peace, Love, Happiness and Contentment. Each of these divine manifestations create a reflection of light within the soul and an expansion of consciousness, symbolized by eight reindeer: the prayerful ones plus their reflections. Acts of kindness make the soul’s light visible in the darkness.
