Comfort and Joy
Ukrainian folklore characterizes pysanky as a symbolic, talismanic writing that invokes a higher Universal Power for help, while believing with faithful certainty that It will. The contemporary version of this characterization is a paper-and-pen journaling practice called prayer writing that develops a personal relationship with God.
May the blessings of Christ bring you comfort and joy all throughout the year.
The universal Cosmic Spirit that exists beyond creation and is manifest in creation is referred to as God.
The Bible defines the soul in Luke 17:21 — “The Kingdom of God is within you.”
The Bible defines meditation in Psalm 46:10 — “Be Still and know that I am God.“
As the mind rests in the calm, concentrated thought of God in meditation, Christ’s love, peace, wisdom, joy, kindness, compassion is born; saving us when our thoughts have gone astray by neutralizing the influence of Satan’s negativity, fear, anxiety, hate, etc. The good tiding — let nothing you dismay — is meditative blessedness.
God Rest Ye Merry
God rest ye merry, gentle men and women
Let nothing you dismay.
Remember, Christ, our Savior
Is born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray.
O, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy
O, tidings of comfort and joy.
