Easter and its traditions are inspiring symbols of the cosmic freedom found in Christ’s resurrection and love. The symbolism of a country’s flag inspires a righteous attitude for independence and freedom from oppression. The yellow and blue colors of Ukraine’s flag symbolize the golden fields of wheat that are harvested to feed the world and the expansive sky, rivers and mountains that provide a landscape of support for the brave.
A Prayer For Easter
May God’s omnipresent love and wisdom resurrect us from ignorance.
May our vision be resurrected by the invincible understanding of Truth.
May our hearts be resurrected into the expansive brotherhood of love for all.
May God’s light and love resurrect us from darkness, aggression and oppression.
Bless us, O Lord, that we may be resurrected into everlasting freedom.
May the radiant splendor of peace and love manifest throughout the world.

Ukrainian folklore characterizes pysanky as a symbolic, talismanic writing that invokes a higher Universal Power for help, while believing with faithful certainty that It will. The contemporary version of this characterization is a paper-and-pen journaling practice called prayer writing that develops a personal relationship with God.
