Blog Post #40

This prayer-pysanka celebrates the unconditional love a mother gives her child, an ever expanding divine love filled with infinite potential, implanted in the heart of every person by the creative Source of all — God.

Its meditative reflection asks Spirit, referred to as Divine Mother, to shower Her soul-stirring, unconditional love upon us all that it may bloom forth in all its glory.

Divine Mother,

May the touch of Thy love awaken within us the majestic desire to seek Thee.

In seeking Thee, we will find Thee.

In finding Thee, we will know Thee.

In knowing Thee, we will love Thee.

In loving Thee, we will give Thy love to all.

Mother Divine,

May Thy unconditional love blossom forth, embracing us all in Thy glory.

The vibratory effect of unconditional love, symbolized by the violet-blue color on the pysanka, soothes and satisfies the heart. The color pink represents prayerful communion with Divine Mother for receptive awareness of Her all-pervading love and the natural inner contentment that it bestows.

Ukrainian folklore characterizes pysanky as a symbolic, talismanic writing that invokes a higher Universal Power for help, while believing with faithful certainty that It will. The contemporary version of this characterization is a paper-and-pen journaling practice called prayer writing that develops a personal relationship with God.
