Six-Rose Design
Blog Post #5
The Six-Rose pysanka is a delight. Its ancient symbolic reference to God's all-pervading love is truly uplifting to prayer writers seeking through meditative effort to draw upon His love. All true scriptures ensure that God is Love: a universal force that dwells within, and sustains all creation. God's unconditional love flows through receptive hearts and minds as a delightfully divine peace, joy and wisdom.
The Six-Rose Guidelines
1... Lightly drawn pencil guidelines encircle the egg dividing it first in half, then in fourths, and then once around its midsection.
2... The intersecting lines form the center of each of the six roses. The "X" guideline delineates additional petals. The inner and outer circle of dots serve as reference points for the completion of each of the 8 rose petals.
3... With guidelines in place, beeswax can be applied with confidence. Other details can be added.
4... The Six-Rose possibilities are endless. Here are some favorites from my family's decade-old pysanky collection.
